Builders optimistic for 2011 – Longmont Times-Call – March 13, 2011
By Tony Kindelspire
LONGMONT – 2009 was a low-water mark in Longmont for residential construction. According to Longmont city records, the 24 permits pulled that year for single-family homes was the lowest on record, dating back to 1974.
But 2010 was an improvement, with 34 single-family permits pulled, and builders the Times-Call talked to are optimistic 2011 will be even better.
Boulder Creek Life & Home Builders continued to build steadily through 2010, said principal David Sinkey, and more construction is planned for this year.
