Homebuilder grows while others cut back – Boulder County Business Report – November 26, 2010

Despite a still-sluggish housing market, one area builder continues to expand and even has a new home of its own.

Boulder Creek Builders LLC cut the ribbon Thursday on its new home office at 841 Front St. in historic downtown Louisville.

The company, which does business as Boulder Creek Life and Home, had bigger news to share when it announced it is moving forward with two large projects in Broomfield and Louisville.

Boulder Creek is planning to build 31 homes in Broomfield at the corner of Sheridan and Midway Boulevards. The homes will be the “patio style” residences that Boulder Creek specializes in, said Steven Erickson, a Boulder Creek principal and its director of corporate affairs.

The project is slated to go before Broomfield’s Land Use Review Commission in December, Erickson said.

The second project, which is still unnamed, will build 68 homes as part of a larger 151-home development on 96th Street in Louisville, Erickson said.

Boulder Creek also is considering projects in Longmont, Westminster and possibly Greeley, Erickson said.
