What is a Lower-Maintenance Lifestyle?

Lower-maintenance living means you have more time to spend on your hobbies, friends, and family. Homeowners generally spend an average of 6-8 hours per week on outdoor home maintenance chores – things like shoveling snow and yard maintenance.  With those tasks managed on your behalf, you get that time back to do more of the things you love.  (Maintenance tasks vary by community … ask a Boulder Creek representative for more details.)

Do you allow pets?

Yes, pets are welcome in all Boulder Creek neighborhoods.  Some communities offer fenced yard spaces, while others offer access to walking trails and open spaces.

Will I have a fenced-in yard?

That depends on the community. Some neighborhoods have small private areas that are fenced-in. Others share common areas that have no fences between homes.

What does the HOA cover?

The HOA covers different aspects depending on the community. In general, the HOA will maintain the exterior of the home, as well as common areas such as sidewalks, parks, and green spaces. It will also handle snow removal, leaf raking, and sprinkler maintenance. The Community Manager at each community will be happy to discuss the specifics of each neighborhood’s HOA.

How much do Boulder Creek's homes typically cost?

Boulder Creek Neighborhoods offers several neighborhoods with prices ranging from the $300s to over $1 million. The final price of your home may vary from the base price depending on floorplan and homesite selection, structural selections such as additional bedrooms, and Home Design selections which allow you to personalize the finishes in your home.

How much does the HOA cost?

HOA fees vary greatly by neighborhood. Depending on the neighborhood, monthly HOA dues can vary from around $150 to over $300. These monthly dues may go up or down after the neighborhood is completely finished depending on the priorities of the HOA board, made up of neighborhood residents.

Is there a model to look at?

Model availability is dependent on the neighborhood in which you are interested. Most neighborhoods will have a model home available for viewing within a few months of the community being open for sale. Do I need to make an appointment to see the model?

Our model homes are open to the public during our business hours. However, we strongly recommend scheduling an appointment. This will ensure that a Community Manager is available to you for your visit, and to answer any questions that you may have.

How long will you take to build my home?

The build time for any home is dependent on several factors.  Once a home is started (often determined by construction phasing and municipal permitting), the build time is influenced by the size of the home and the complexity of the floorplan.  Often, our homes are completed within 4 – 8 months of construction start.

I want to build a home just like the model. How much will that cost?

Our model homes are a great way to display the types of Home Design selections that are available to our customers. As a result, our model homes typically include upgraded kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring available through the Boulder Creek personalization process, and may even showcase designer touches not available for purchase. Our knowledgeable Community Managers would be happy to discuss the features of the home that are most important to you.

What’s included in the home?

The base price of the homes includes everything you would expect when you move into a new home. If the home you purchase is not started yet, you will have a selection of flooring, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, paint colors, and other finishes available at no additional cost. Our customer-led upgrade program gives you the ability to personalize your home to your tastes, with whatever budget you have in mind. You may also choose to purchase a home already in construction, in which case, our professional design team will have hand selected the finishes in the home, which will be reflected in the price.

Who lives in a Boulder Creek neighborhood?

Our neighborhoods are not age-restricted, nor are they limited to any specific groups. Our buyers tend to be those that prioritize lower-maintenance living. Our lower-maintenance lifestyle appeals to empty-nesters, busy professionals, singles, and anyone else that would rather spend their free time on their friends and family, their hobbies, and themselves instead of doing outdoor home maintenance chores.

What does my warranty cover, and how long does my warranty last?

Generally, your limited warranty covers materials and workmanship for 1 year from your date of closing. For details on specific issues, you can consult the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines booklet provided to you at the time of contract. The limited warranty offered by Boulder Creek is for 1 year from your date of closing.
