LifefullnessWhat to Consider When Downsizing
In a world increasingly focused on “stuff,” the idea of downsizing can be a bit scary. The term can conjure images of small apartments or tiny living spaces. At Boulder Creek Neighborhoods, the focus is on “right-sizing” instead. Making sure you have everything you need, and nothing you don’t. The tangible benefits of “right-sizing” and simplifying your life far outweigh the challenges of getting there. Take a look around you. Chances are you can spy at least a few things that you haven’t used in ages – probably items that you wouldn’t mind parting ways with. Similarly, there may be spaces or even entire rooms in your home that you hardly use, or are no longer relevant in your daily life. Formal dining rooms and unnecessary bedrooms tend to top that list. Perhaps you could part ways with these too and realize that your life might really be easier without them. Downsizing into a new home that fits the needs of your life today doesn’t have to be scary. In fact, right-sizing can simplify you life and free up time to spend on the things that matter most. The benefits of downsizing So, what are some of the biggest benefits of downsizing into a new low-maintenance home? Reduce the time you spend on home maintenance and daily chores. What sounds like a better way to spend your time: hiking in the Front Range and enjoying a meal at the farmer’s market, or spending the afternoon dusting and vacuuming rooms you don’t use? When you downsize into a low-maintenance home, you get to enjoy the extra time that comes from spending less energy on home maintenance and more on enjoying your life. Enjoy and experience more freedom. Freedom means something different to everyone. For some, it means the chance to take a nap instead of mowing the lawn. For others, it means the time to take full advantage of the Colorado lifestyle and head out on a long adventure without worrying about their yard while they’re gone. With a low-maintenance patio home from Boulder Creek Neighborhoods, these dreams can be a reality. “I think what really drew us to these homes is the lifestyle they offer – we knew we wanted to downsize, so that we could spend less time working on upkeep and more time enjoying each day.” – David B, Boulder Creek Homeowner Making downsizing easy with Boulder Creek Neighborhoods If downsizing sounds like something that is easier said than done, rest assured that the Boulder Creek team strives to make downsizing not just doable, but enjoyable, especially for those facing a newly empty nest, or who are looking to retire and enjoy their lives by remaining active. The first and most obvious way Boulder Creek Neighborhoods can make downsizing easier is with the low-maintenance lifestyle their homes provide. It’s really easy to downsize your lawn equipment when so many outdoor maintenance chores are managed on your behalf. Having a well-designed floorplan is critical if you are considering downsizing. Smaller doesn’t always mean it’s the right design for your lifestyle. Many Boulder Creek floorplans showcase the ease of main floor living, so endless trips up and down the stairs can be a thing of the past. Open concepts make entertaining friends and family a breeze, with wide-open great rooms and flexible floorplans. “We still want the same things that everyone wants in their home –an open floor plan, high-quality materials, easy to navigate and maintain. For us, it’s a win-win all around.” – David B, Boulder Creek Homeowner Find the perfectly-sized life with Boulder Creek Neighborhoods Downsizing doesn’t mean saying goodbye to all your worldly possessions. It means saying hello to a better, more fulfilling lifestyle, full of the things you love and less of the stress. With a Boulder Creek Neighborhoods low-maintenance patio home, you’ll have more room in your life for what matters. Lower-Maintenance LivingConfessions of a Low-Maintenance Homeowner
Ask anyone what they’d like more of in their life, and chances are most will say, “Time.” Between work, family responsibilities, and chores it can be hard to find that precious free time in your day-to-day life. Each year seems to speed by faster than the last. That’s why the team at Boulder Creek Neighborhoods builds homes designed to create more time in homeowners’ lives. It’s a concept called lifefullness ®—a unique living experience designed around how you want to live your life. It’s the ability to focus more on that which matters most to you, and the chance to finally do the things you really love. A better way of living A better way of living doesn’t just come in the form of beautiful materials and stylish finishes — though those things can be important. The homes and neighborhoods at Boulder Creek are modeled around life – the way you want to live it. Here, you’ll find right-sized homes that are centered around ease of living features, and where many outdoor maintenance chores are managed on your behalf. Take, for example, mowing the lawn and pulling the weeds. Now some folks might really love to do those things, but for most of us, these are the unpleasant necessities of owning a home. We think a life well lived means less of that and more exploring, more entertaining, and more enjoying. “With my time commitments and busy schedule, I didn’t want to lose time to yard work and snow shoveling. And now I’m glad that I’ve got that time back in my schedule.” – Tim E., Boulder Creek Homeowner “This is the vision I have for my life. I enjoy hiking and skiing and plan on doing much more now that I won’t be tied down to a home that requires so much of my time.” – Mary C., Boulder Creek Homeowner Time Better Spent With a low-maintenance home from Boulder Creek Neighborhoods, you have the freedom to decide how you spend your free time. Spend more time on the things you love, and less time on the things you don’t. Stress less – live more At Colorado’s Boulder Creek Neighborhoods, our low-maintenance homes are designed with you in mind. Boulder Creek Announces a Year of Lifefullness Ahead
More than a Home, a Lifestyle When Boulder Creek Neighborhoods announces new communities, home shoppers throughout Boulder County take notice. Already well-known for popular neighborhoods like Steel Ranch in Louisville and Erie Commons in Erie, Boulder Creek Neighborhoods is setting out to offer their signature style of low-maintenance living to new locations in Boulder County and throughout the Front Range. The local, Louisville based homebuilder has an almost cult-like following of homebuyers seeking a new lifestyle. Boulder Creek has made a name for themselves locally and in national circles for providing unique homes that are different from just your “typical” floorplan. The Boulder Creek homebuyer is someone that is looking for something different, something specific, and something not found in most homebuilder lineups. Whether that’s a low-maintenance lifestyle, main-floor living options, or the appeal of “downsizing” from a larger family home, folks are able to find something special in Boulder Creek that they can’t find elsewhere. David Sinkey, President of Boulder Creek Neighborhoods, puts it best, “We bring something atypical to the market. What we offer is more than a home, it’s an opportunity for a change in lifestyle.” Just a quick tour through a Boulder Creek neighborhood proves that the builder has brought something different to the market – and the success of their current communities proves that they’ve nailed it. In searching for a home, many buyers look for so long that they finally give up on finding the right home for their particular set of criteria. Notes Sinkey, “Buyers often tell us that they can finally end their years-long home search – they find a home with us that they didn’t know even existed in the market.” All too often, homebuyers resign themselves to purchasing a lesser home that doesn’t meet their needs because they simply can’t find what they are looking for. Big Plans for the Year Ahead Fans of Boulder Creek as well as anyone who is in the market for an exceptional home are in luck. The company has recently announced a full lineup for 2016 throughout Boulder County and the Front Range – including new floorplans, new model homes and new communities just starting development. “It’s always exciting open new communities and launch new designs,” says Sinkey. Boulder Creek’s communities have long been a presence in Boulder County, and the company is based in Louisville. Currently under construction are two communities just a hop, skip and a jump from their headquarters in Old Town. Offers Sinkey, “It’s something special to be building in our own backyard. Louisville is such a desirable location for so many different reasons.” Just on the north end of Old Town Louisville, Boulder Creek’s DELO townhomes have introduced a newly finished model home, and the extensive community development that will bring the retail and office space to life is well underway. Also under construction in Louisville are the very final homes in the ever-popular Steel Ranch neighborhood. The ranch patio homes at Lanterns homes are selling quickly and are expected to sell out before the end of the year. The Calmante neighborhood, located directly across from 10,000 acres of Boulder County open space has been wildly successful since opening in 2014. “Homeowners, especially those coming out of Boulder, are finding Calmante to be a tremendous value. There’s simply nothing else like it in Boulder County,” says Sinkey. Boulder Creek has also started construction on the model homes for Tramonto , in south west Longmont. About 30% of these ranch patio homes have already found owners, even though the community is still in pre-sale mode. That’s not stopping interested buyers, though, as Boulder Creek already has sign ups for a Tramonto floor plan and pricing release event slated for the end of February. Perhaps the most exciting announcement for the Boulder Creek fan is the brand new community in Erie, Brennan by the Lake . Located at the corner of 119th and Erie Parkway, Brennan by the Lake is one of Boulder Creek’s most highly anticipated neighborhoods. Sinkey’s team recently held an informational open house, gathering feedback on floorplans and design features from more than 60 interested and potential homebuyers. Patio home sales at Brennan are expected to begin this spring, with models following later this summer. “The notion of low-maintenance living resonates with folks all over Colorado,” said Sinkey. Boulder Creek is offering both townhomes and ranch patio homes at The Lakes at Centerra in Loveland, as well as patio homes in Stapleton in Denver. A recent addition to the lineup includes the Encore series, smaller paired ranch homes, staring from just under $300,000 in Thornton and Aurora. Say Goodbye to Home Maintenance The locations, floorplans and price points might vary across these neighborhoods, but they all have one thing in common. “ Lifefullness ,” says Sinkey. He describes “Lifefullness” as the guiding philosophy of the company. It’s about building homes that help owners embrace full lives, focusing on the things that matter most to them. “We hear from our buyers that they’ve been searching for a way to lead a fuller life,” Sinkey said. “They don’t always realize how much a new home can be a part of that solution.” Owning any home has plenty of perks, but a typical home comes with a definite downside – exterior maintenance chores like yard work, landscaping, snow shoveling, upkeep of the home’s exterior, and more. Homeowners can say goodbye to these chores and more in a low-maintenance Boulder Creek home, as the majority of outdoor maintenance is handled on their behalf. That leaves time for the activities they love, whether that’s hiking or skiing, reading a good book, or catching up with friends and family. No matter what it is, that’s what Boulder Creek means by “Lifefullness.” If you’re looking for a new lifestyle, or have been in the market for a while searching for a home that you didn’t think existed, now’s the time to check out Boulder Creek Neighborhoods. With home prices from the $300s to the $600s, there’s a diversity of floorplans and price points to meet your needs, and the company’s 2016 lineup is sure to please.
